Mark Heverin

Mark Heverin joined Prof. Hardiman’s ALS Research Team in 2011 and has worked in a number of areas of the group’s research programme since then including family history studies and the running of the Irish ALS/MND Register.

Since 2016 he has taken over as Research Manager in the Academic Unit of Neurology which involves broad oversight of the ALS/MND register and many of the ongoing projects and day to day operations within the Unit and indeed across a network of European and international collaborators.

In his role as Clinical Programme Manager for the Precision ALS Project, Mark is involved in the management of the ongoing work of the work packages and targeted projects that make up the Precision ALS Project.

His background is in psychology with a degree from NUI Maynooth and a master’s in health psychology from NUI Galway.
