Dr. Gary McDarby

Dr. Gary McDarby is a technology consultant on the PALS project. His principal role involves assisting with the high-level architecture of the platform together with improving the data quality ingestion of the PALS data.

With a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and a history of leadership at MIT Media Lab Europe, Gary has pioneered commercialised inventions in brain-computer interfacing and stress management.

Separately, he is the CEO of Edgeliot and a multi-award-winning entrepreneur at the intersection of IoT and Neuroscience.

Beyond his commercial success with startups, he is a committed social innovator, Co-founding organizations like Camara Education and the Computer Clubhouse Network in Ireland to bridge the digital divide. He is an expert in Signal Processing, LoRa networks, and Edge AI.
